Bhagam Bhag is a 2D endless runner game where the player runs across Pakistani rooftops, chasing kites while avoiding obstacles. Designed as a hyper-casual mobile game, it was a class project aimed at improving game design skills and understanding user engagement in quick-play mechanics

In our game design class, we were given the task to create a hyper-casual game. I wanted to add a cultural touch, so I took inspiration from Pakistan’s rooftop traditions and the Basant festival, where kids run across rooftops chasing kites.

  • Pakistani rooftops architecture (textures, water tanks, charpais, clotheslines).

  • Traditional Basant festival kites (shapes, colors, movement).

  • Popular endless runners like Subway Surfers & Temple Run for mechanics.

  • Obstacles: Water tanks, hanging clothes, gaps between buildings.

  • Scoring: Each caught kite = +1 point.

  • Death Conditions: Hitting an obstacle or falling off a rooftop.
